I did this the other day. I had to buy something online and wanted the best price. There was a $5 savings already, then there was this blank box to enter a coupon code on the checkout page. I Googled the site's name + "coupon" and found another site where this company advertised a coupon code for an additional $7 off. I plugged in the code at checkout and was a happy camper.

Now I find out that "there are websites dedicated to providing promotional code kracks."
