My 'most viewed' post deals with online coupon codes. Basically it dealt with buying something online and finding out the merchant accepts coupon codes. When you see the "Enter Coupon Code Here" box and you don't have a coupon code, you feel like you're getting a bad deal. Why should you pay the higher price when everyone else has a coupon? And the merchant seems to flaunt your ignorance. After all the coupon code box is right there in front of you, well under your address and credit card information.
Fact is the merchants want you to buy. Sure it would be great if you paid full price. But if you bought more with a coupon and then told your friends, that's a lot better deal for them.
Don't wait until checkout time to Google up a coupon. Do your research first.
One of my favorite coupon code sites is:
Deal Coupon
The local CBS affiliate ran a story with the following sites:
Deal Hunting
Discount Codes
Shoppers Resource
Quick To Click
Naughty Codes
Current Codes
What can you expect? Usually a percentage off regular price, free shipping, or a specified dollar amount off with X amount of dollars spent.
A word of caution: beware of coupon frenzy. Some people are addicted to the bargain and will overspend just for a "good deal." Watch your budget.
Happy shopping!
