Their website says: "Ning is a free online service (or, as we like to call it, a Playground) for building and using social applications. Social apps are web applications that enable anyone to match, transact, and communicate with other people."

What does this mean. Check it out. I'm still not sure how to approach it, but it looks to have a lot of potential for you to create, er clone, your own web apps. Holler if you come up with anything cool.
